  • Are beginners welcome?

    Yes! Our chef instructors go over all the necessary basics in the beginning of every class, and then delve into the specific cuisine of the evening. Our classes are entertaining and informative for all levels. So beginners, as well as more experienced cooks, are welcome in all of our classes!

  • Do you offer vegetarian options?

    Yes! We can make select menu items vegetarian if given prior notice. 

  • Are classes hands-on?

    Yes! The Cookery offers hands-on dinner party-style cooking classes. Unlike other cooking classes where you may only participate in making a few items, at The Cookery our guests will gain knowledge, skills, and confidence while actually preparing our 3-course meal.


  • What should I wear?

    Whatever makes you comfortable! Our classes are very hands-on, so we suggest casual clothing and shoes.

  • Should I eat before class?

    Feel free to come as hungry as you like. Each class consists of a 3-course meal, as well as a welcome snack ready for you to enjoy when you arrive.

  • Do I need to bring anything to class?

    Just your love of food! The Cookery provides everything you’ll need.

  • Should I arrive early?

    Yes, please feel free to arrive between 10 and 15 minutes early to find parking and get situated.

  • How long are the classes?

    Our classes typically last around 3 hours.

  • Do you offer classes for kids?

    While we love children, our classes are primarily for adults. However, we do not mind if children 13 years or older attend any of our publicly scheduled classes, as long as they are accompanied by an adult who is also registered for the class.

  • What is your BYOB policy?

    We do offer wine, beer, and/or cocktail pairings throughout class. However, you are more than welcome to bring your own beverages to supplement what we provide. We do not charge a corking fee.

  • Should I tip my instructor?

    While gratuity is never expected, it is always appreciated. Our staff can accept gratuity via cash or credit card.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    You are more than welcome to change or cancel your class reservation up to 48 hours before your scheduled class' start time for an account credit.  We do not offer credit card refunds, and we are not able to offer class credit or transfers for last-minute illnesses, work-related conflicts, personal emergencies or events beyond our control.  You are always welcome to send someone in your place, as we understand that these things do happen. If you are purchasing this class or event as a gift, please provide this cancellation policy to the recipient, as the policy will still apply. 

  • Are classes transferable between locations?

    No. Please note that classes are only valid at the studio for which they were purchased. Classes & gift certificates are not transferable between The Cookery Dallas, The Cookery Fort Worth, & The Cookery Houston.

  • How can I cancel/change a class if I am within your cancellation policy?

    1) Sign into your online account and click on “Account”  

    2) Find the class you are canceling and click the trash bin icon   


    When you finish, your account will show an account credit. Refunds are given only as class credit. For your next purchase, the shopping cart will NOT automatically apply the credit and deduct the cost of your purchase from your account credit before it charges your credit card.  YOU MUST CLICK ON THE BUTTON IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PAGE “APPLY ACCOUNT CREDIT”.

  • Is it safe to use my credit card on-line ?
    Online payment via credit card is secure, fast, easy and will guarantee that your registration is processed immediately.
    We are using a certtiifcate : 128-bit SSL encryption.
  • What methods of payment do you accept ?
    Our online system allows us to accept Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover.
